Fearless strives to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all its artists, audiences, staff, board, guests, and volunteers, regardless of their background, experience, identity, or walk of life. We believe everyone deserves respect, dignity, and to be seen, especially in a creative environment where people bring the entirety of themselves and often need to be vulnerable to have the most rewarding experience.
This code of conduct outlines the expectations for anyone who works for, with, or engages with Fearless in any way:
- We are inclusive and respectful of all people. This includes, but is not limited to, people of every race, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, age, physical appearance/body size, language, immigration status, and socioeconomic status.
- We are mindful of what we say and do. We have zero tolerance for harmful language or actions, including, but not limited to, hate speech, bullying, trolling, verbal abuse, purposeful misgendering (using an incorrect name and/or pronouns), slurs, negative stereotyping, and degrading comments.
- We honor the personal space and boundaries of others. Any unwelcome attention or unwanted physical contact will not be tolerated, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, sexist remarks, suggestive comments or gestures, staring, and stalking.
- We invite artists and audience members to engage fully and be themselves. Everyone responds to theater differently, and we welcome all forms of expression during Fearless productions, programs, and events. However, engagement or responses that are harmful or disparaging to actors, staff, volunteers, or audience members will not be tolerated.
- We are mindful of the well-being of others. In addition to following public health and safety guidelines, we recognize that our personal health and safety choices can impact those around us.
As a theater community, we will work together to uphold this code of conduct and ensure our spaces are anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-discriminatory, and welcoming to all. If you experience or witness a violation of this code of conduct, or if there is anything we can do to improve your experience with us, please let us know as soon as you are able using our online feedback form or by speaking with a staff member.
