OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION

Fearless acknowledges that societal systems within the theatre arts community have historically marginalized communities of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), as well as immigrants and refugees, disabled persons, transgender persons, and queer and nonbinary persons.

  • Fearless is committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, religion, creed, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, citizenship, or ancestry. This is an ever-growing list and all will be welcome.
  • Fearless is committed to diversity, inclusivity, and the work of anti-racism, from our board to our box office. We are committed to color-conscious – not just color-blind – casting. In pursuit of true, long-term equity and inclusion, we will actively seek out projects, productions, and talent both on and off-stage that demonstrate a diversity of experience and identity. We will uplift and amplify these voices rather than filter them, and cultivate creative and collaborative relationships.
  • Fearless is committed to creating a safe space for all identities, both on and offstage. We strive to be a theater company where identities, differences, and experiences are not merely tolerated, but embraced and celebrated. In such an atmosphere, artists can be free to truly take creative risks, and audiences can explore the human experience more fully.

Fearless believes theater can and should do more than reflect White or European and heteronormative voices and perspectives, and we will continue to work to bring the true, vibrant, authentic community of the Twin Cities and Minnesota to our productions and our company.

If there is anything we can do to live up to our commitments or improve your experience with us, please let us know using our online feedback form or by speaking with a staff member.
